How long does it take to become a ventriloquist? – How To Learn Ventriloquism Dummies Guides Books
Let’s take a look at the following facts about ventriloquists: “Ventriloquists are usually between 18 and 33 years old. The typical length of their career is 2 to 7 years.”
They live for 30 years, which is really awesome, I have no idea how many years it takes to become “the man”… I’m guessing it’s about ten years max. Some people have been ventriloquists for over 50 years, but then you can add in another 10 years or so and that makes the average person look a few years older than he actually is.
If you’re not in the business of ventriloquing, how often do you think of it when people mention someone they saw at a con who was a ventriloquist? Don’t believe me or the statment of the average person in this field? Take a look at the following two YouTube videos I have been watching:

This one is actually rather funny. The video isn’t quite as cute as this one, but it’s definitely more informative.
I’m surprised how often the word “ventriloquist” is used by the people I meet in the world of comedy. I’m also surprised how many people think ventriloquist is only the act of doing a ventriloquist act. But that’s not entirely true, I think everyone’s first thought when they hear about ventriloquists will be “What was that joke they gave me?” So be sure to listen to the two videos in the links below and see how different you can hear the word “ventriloquist” in your mind.
