You need to know how to draw faces.
But you don’t need to know anything about face or drawing to get a good idea of how to figure it out.
To know how to face draw, you need to understand the basic parts of the human anatomy.
What do they look like?
What colors do they have?
What do they move?
What is their overall shape? (For example a human face can be a circle with a slightly raised top (the eyelid), two eyes on top; a flat forehead at the bottom and a high top; a slight curve at the sides, and a rounded nose).
When you’re learning about human anatomy, you should look for those parts and their relationship to each other.
When you get an idea about the human face, you know how a human face might be drawn.
You know how a human face might move.
You know how a human face might look.
But it’s not enough to just be able to read about it — you also need to know how to draw a face in your mind, without having to read the original drawing.
