How to Survive a Birthday Day Without Spending More Money
This is a trick I got from an ex girlfriend. She took a couple of friends to a restaurant and they got drunk at the bar before the meal. One of the friends asked the bartender if he could have one of their drinks for free if the other guys could have one at the bar. The bartender said that all the guys got drinks, so we could take turns being stupid. The bartender said “ok” and gave the other guy 1 drink for free! The other guy, after that, told everyone he knew that a woman was coming through on her birthday. Everyone asked her where she’d be, and how she would be doing. No one asked her any questions. She went straight back to dinner, had a nice time and a lot of sex. The bartender was pretty upset at that one, she told us afterward that she wouldn’t do that again. Not one of us asked her who she was.
The first thing that needs to be done if you don’t get your present is to have a meeting. Get out of the house. Grab a friend. Get someplace safe for the last hour of the day. Get the heck out of that room if necessary. You do not have to spend this money.
If the presents aren’t there, you need to find more presents. A few bucks here, a few dollars there. Go buy a pair of shoes or a box of snacks. Take as many things as you need. You don’t have to go to the big store. If you don’t go, or if you don’t have money to spend, get as many presents as you want. It makes for a less cluttered house. It also doesn’t feel like you’re spending an insane amount of money to make a day a lot less stressful or stressful for you.
Here are a few tricks that saved me from spending a lot of money at work, but didn’t cost me an insane amount of money at home.
