What causes levitation? – Five Magic Tricks With Pencils
The scientific and medical communities have found a number of different things that lead to levitation. These include (but are just a few of)

This may also explain the movement of an object on the ground or air while levitating.

It causes a sensation similar to the feeling of standing in an air pocket. It is caused by the body rotating in a controlled way and not by the movement of the object itself.
This effect is also seen in the spinning of a ball. It is due to the rotation of the ball itself and not any other force acting on the ball.

A person may be able to levitate if he/she is wearing a proper harness which is made from materials that have low magnetic properties.
