The paint doesn’t work?
There is no way to make spray paint spray waterproof. We use 100 % silicone based inks.
Has the coating lasted this long?
Yes, we have painted our boats for over 40 years, we paint in the same way as we did in the 1960s!
How hard is it to clean?
In addition to washing, the finish needs to be prepped with a high quality cleaning solution.
Do I need to worry about oxidation?
Yes, it can occur as the pigment is exposed to the oxygen atmosphere and will eventually go brown.
What are your costs for the production, shipping and distribution?
We do not handle that for anyone.
Do you use any additional or alternative ingredients?
It depends how it reacts with other inks so we have never used any alternatives. It is just a different process.
Do you use wax as a coating?
We do not use any wax, they used to be common in boats in the 1950s but were phased out by the 1970s.
When did the first boats start being painted?
I cannot give an exact date and I haven’t been able to find out how old the first boats were. I’ve found a picture on the internet which might prove interesting from an archival perspective however, it is only a grainy black and white photo I have, so I’m not too sure about its accuracy

The man seen on CCTV footage being led by two officers off-duty in a silver Peugeot were “just being silly”, a senior Met officer has said.
CCTV footage taken between 00:50 and 02:15 on 4 August, shortly after the Met pulled over a motorist driving without permission in Brent, south of London, was widely circulated on social media.
The two officers, who have not been named, were seen in the car – driving off-duty – while the passenger got out and got out the vehicle.
