[Laughs.] I love being a life coach. I’m always going to be a life coach.
So, what are you hoping is this next year?
I am just looking forward to living the life with this amazing coach. This year, I have to be ready for a lot of things, and hopefully I will be one of them.
What are you working on?
I am trying different things, like yoga, and I think it’s gonna work. I have a lot of ideas, but I need really good results before I can really commit to anything.
What are your goals, for 2016?
I have to make sure my health is good at the beginning of the year. For me, it’s really important that I come back healthy in April or May.
[Laughs.] I do not want to take any chances at this point. I don’t want any surprises. [Laughs.] I do know that my goals are very big.
Can you tell me a little more about the team you’re working with with Coach O’Donovan?
Mike Locksley is a great guy, a great coach. I met him at the start of the year and got the opportunity to coach him, and obviously he’s always been great for me in this coaching profession. I’ve seen him play before, so I definitely know exactly what I’m going to expect from him.
A lot of the guys we work with are big fans of his. They have been fans for a long time, and they really see what he does to the players. He works very hard, and he’s very patient. It’s great to work with guys that are willing to do things the right way.
Are you comfortable with the role that you’re taking on?
My goal is to be the best player I can be. I really want to be the best player there is, but I also want the best coach out there. So I really do need to do everything I can to have a good year.
What is your relationship like with Connor Hobbs?
We are really good friends. He has been a part of my life for years, and I really look up to him.
You came up in the same organization with him when you were younger, right? [Laughs.]
Yes, actually. We were very successful together, from beginning to end.
How about you and Kyle Palmieri as a tandem
